L'album è un mezzo concept album: gli ultimi otto brani dell'album, infatti, sono collegati tra loro.[1]

Produzione

Il gruppo sarebbe dovuto entrare in studio già nel dicembre 2015, ma i lavori vennero fermati a causa della morte del padre di Mr Lordi e all'inizio del 2016 il produttore Mikko Karmila si allontanò dal progetto.[1] Riuscirono a far produrre il disco a Nino Laurenne, che già aveva prodotto l'album Deadache del 2008.[1]

L'album vede anche l'avvento di nuovi costumi per il gruppo. In un'intervista con la rivista ceca Spark, Mr. Lordi ha spiegato che durante la registrazione dell'album il tempo per dedicarsi alla progettazione dei costumi era molto poco e, quindi, i nuovi costumi sono divisi a metà.[1]

Monstereophonic (Theaterror vs. Demonarchy) is the eighth studio album by the Finnish hard rock band Lordi, released on 16 September 2016.[2] While the first half of the album includes classic Lordi-style hard rock / heavy metal songs, the second half of the album, Demonarchy, is conceptual and includes six or more minute songs. The band announced that the members' new costumes will be split in half, representing two sides of the album.

Monstereophonic (Theaterror vs. Demonarchy) es el octavo álbum de estudio de la banda de hard rock finlandés Lordi, con fecha de publicación el 16 de septiembre de 2016.[1] El nuevo trabajo de Lordi fue descrito como un «álbum split». Las seis primeras canciones serían de carácter parecido a las canciones antiguas de la banda, mientras que las seis últimas serían más progresivas, creando un álbum conceptual.
