Nightwing è il quinto album della Black metal band svedese Marduk. È stato registrato e mixato tra ottobre e novembre 1997, poi pubblicato nell'aprile 1998. Il tema principale dell'album è il sangue, mentre i successivi saranno basati sulla guerra (Panzer Division Marduk), e sulla morte (La Grande Danse Macabre), formando così la trilogia "sangue, guerra e morte".

Il tema principale è il sangue, diviso in due parti: la prima parte è composta da canzoni a testo satanista, mentre la seconda parte consiste in un concept su Vlad 'Tepes' Drakul, l'impalatore della Valacchia.[1]

Nel 2008 è uscita una ristampa con una copertina totalmente differente (disegnata dall'italiano Lorenzo Mariani) audio remixato ed un dvd video extra con il concerto registrato a Rotterdam il 5 aprile 1998 con la seguente tracklist:

Nightwing is the fifth studio album by Swedish black metal band Marduk. It was recorded and mixed at The Abyss between October and November 1997 and released in April 1998 by Osmose Productions. The theme of the album was blood, as the band's following, war-related studio album's Panzer Division Marduk would be fire, and La Grande Danse Macabre would be death, forming a trilogy of "Blood, Fire and Death," an homage to Bathory's Blood Fire Death album.
