Descrizione

L'album è il primo dei best-of del gruppo, e servì anche come apripista per il box set Music Bank pubblicato successivamente. Contiene canzoni estratte dai precedenti album Facelift, Dirt e Alice in Chains e dagli EP Sap e Jar of Flies, oltre all'inedito Get Born Again; qui compare anche la versione demo di We Die Young che non sarà inserita nel successivo box set.

Il disco ha raggiunto la ventesima posizione della Billboard 200 statunitense nel 1999.

Nothing Safe: Best of the Box is the first greatest hits album by the American rock band Alice in Chains. It was released on June 29, 1999 on Columbia Records. The previously unreleased track "Get Born Again" was released as a single to promote the album[1] and peaked at No. 4 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart,[5] and at No. 12 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart.[6] "Get Born Again" was also nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2000.[7]
