Spine of God ist das erste Studioalbum der US-amerikanischen Band Monster Magnet, die meist als EPs bezeichneten Veröffentlichungen Tab und Monster Magnet nicht eingerechnet. Es wurde Ende 1991 über das deutsche Label Glitterhouse veröffentlicht, in den USA erschien es im Februar 1992. Es gilt heute als Klassiker des Stoner-Rock-Genres.[1][en] Spine of God
Spine of God is the debut studio album by American rock band Monster Magnet, released in Europe in 1991 and in the United States the following year. The album represents one of the earliest examples of the emerging 1990s sub-genre of stoner rock. Though Spine of God did not perform well commercially upon its initial release, the album was listed on Spin magazine's "Ten Best Albums of the Year You Didn't Hear" for 1991.[7] The song "Medicine" was released as a single with accompanying music video.[es] Spine of God
Spine of God es el álbum debut de la banda estadounidense de rock Monster Magnet, lanzado al mercado en 1992. Es el primer LP oficial de la banda y uno de los primeros ejemplo de stoner rock. Tiene elementos del punk, metal, rock psicodélico y space rock. La portada reza la leyenda "It's a Satanic Drug Thing, You Wouldn't Understand" (Es una cosa de droga satánica, no lo entenderías).
