The Burning Red è il terzo album pubblicato dalla band thrash metal/groove metal Machine Head, nel 1999. Questo album continua il percorso nel solco del sound hardcore segnato dalla band, la quale, pur non disdegnando sonorità spiccatamente thrash metal si evolve e abbraccia in senso più strutturato la fondamentale componente nu metal, accompagnandola con inconfondibili mescolanze rap che saranno nell'album successivo (Supercharger), fonte di critiche e presa di distanza da parte di una certa parte dei fan.

The Burning Red ist das dritte Studioalbum der US-amerikanischen Metal-Band Machine Head. Es erschien am 27. Juli 1999 via Roadrunner Records. The Burning Red wurde zwar von den Kritikern positiv aufgenommen, ist aber unter den Fans aufgrund seiner melodischeren Ausrichtung und des zeitweise verwendeten Rapgesangs umstritten. Es war das erste Machine-Head-Album mit Ahrue Luster.

The Burning Red is the third studio album by the American heavy metal band Machine Head. It is the band's second best selling album in the US, selling as many copies in three years as their debut album, Burn My Eyes, sold in almost eight years (1994–2002).[5] The album has sold over 134,000 copies in the US[6] and it was certified silver in 2011 by the BPI for sales of 60,000 in the UK.[7] The Burning Red was Machine Head's first album with guitarist Ahrue Luster, as well as their first venture into nu metal.
