The Century of Self ist das sechste Studioalbum der texanischen Band … And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead. Es wurde am 17. Februar 2009 als erstes Album über das bandeigene Label Richter Scale Records veröffentlicht. Der Titel des Albums wurde inspiriert durch die 2002 von Adam Curtis gedrehte Dokumentation The Century of the Self,[2] die beschreibt, wie Sigmund Freud das Unterbewusstsein "entdeckte".
