The Gospel According to the Meninblack (chiamato talvolta solo The Meninblack) è un concept album esoterico dei The Stranglers pubblicato nel 1981. L'album tratta di teorie complottistiche riguardo a visite di UFO sulla Terra, dell'organizzazione governativa Men in Black (nella cultura popolare, agenti governativi che cercano di nascondere avvistamenti di UFO eliminando i testimoni), e la narrazione di ciò secondo schemi biblici. Non è la prima volta che la band si occupa di questo argomento: l'aveva già fatto in Raven e nel singolo Who Wants the World?.

Hugh Cornwell, ex cantante e compositore della band, ha dichiarato di considerare quest'album il migliore album degli Stranglers ed il suo preferito.[1]

Nel Regno Unito i singoli estratti vendettero poco a causa dello sperimentalismo, diversamente dal successivo album La Folie.

The Gospel According to the Meninblack (or sometimes referred to as just The Meninblack) is the fifth album by English rock band the Stranglers, an esoteric concept album released in 1981 on the Liberty label. The album deals with conspiratorial ideas surrounding alien visitations to Earth, the sinister governmental men in black, and the involvement of these elements in well-known biblical narratives. This was not the first time the Stranglers had used this concept; "Meninblack" on the earlier The Raven album and subsequent 1980 single-release "Who Wants the World?" had also explored it.
