The Healer ist ein 1989 erschienenes Blues-Album von John Lee Hooker. Die Stücke des Albums entstanden in Zusammenarbeit mit Bonnie Raitt, Charlie Musselwhite, Los Lobos, Canned Heat, Carlos Santana und anderen. Mike Kappus organisierte die Zusammenarbeit der diversen Musiker bei diesem Album und war Produktionsleiter; Produzent war Roy Rogers. Kappus, Rogers und Hooker gründeten zur Produktion des Albums eine eigene Produktionsfirma. Alle Songs des Albums wurden von Hooker geschrieben oder entstanden in Zusammenarbeit von Hooker und anderen Künstlern.
