The Soft Bulletin è il nono album in studio della band statunitense The Flaming Lips, pubblicato nel 1999 dalla Warner Bros. Records[1].

Il disco può essere considerato come un evento di rottura all'interno della produzione discografica della band, che abbandona il suo precedente guitar-sound psichedelico-alternativo, per avvicinarsi a melodie più orecchiabili e accessibili, e a testi più seri e riflessivi; riuscendo a fondere con armonia il suono dei classici strumenti rock, con quelli dei più moderni sintetizzatori e beat elettronici. Questa caratteristica lo rende uno dei lavori più complessi e articolati della band, molto apprezzato dalla critica[1][2].
