Descrizione

La copertina è stata disegnata dal cantante Joe Duplantier, che ha curato quella degli album precedenti.[2] Le registrazioni si sono svolte allo studio di proprietà della band con la produzione dello stesso Duplantier, mentre le parti di batteria sono state registrate a Los Angeles con la collaborazione di Logan Mader che ha anche missato e masterizzato l'album. Riguardo ai significati dei testi, Duplantier ha spiegato in un'intervista a una rivista che traggono ispirazione dalle visioni della vita e della morte che ha ciascun componente del gruppo.[3]

Il cantante dei Lamb of God, Randy Blythe, ha partecipato al brano Adoration for None.

The Way of All Flesh is the fourth studio album by the French progressive metal/technical death metal band Gojira. The album was released on 13 October 2008 in Europe via Listenable Records and on 14 October in the US through Prosthetic Records. It sold around 4,200 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at number 138 on the Billboard 200 chart.[1] It also reached no. 1 on the Top Heatseekers chart and no. 21 on the Top Independent Albums chart.[2] The album was recorded at the band's home studio while Joe Duplantier produced it. The drums were recorded in Los Angeles and engineered by Logan Mader, who also mixed and mastered the album. The cover features artwork created by vocalist Joe Duplantier, who was responsible for the artwork on past albums.[3]

The Way of All Flesh (с англ. — «Путь всего живущего») — четвертый студийный альбом французской метал-группы Gojira. Альбом был выпущен 13 октября 2008 года в Европе на Listenable Records и 14 октября в США на Prosthetic Records. В первую неделю после релиза в США было продано около 4200 копий, что позволило ему дебютировать на 138-ой позиции в чарте Billboard 200[1]. Также альбом достиг первого места в чарте Top Heatseekers и 21-го места в чарте Top Independent Albums. Альбом был записан в домашней студии группы, и его продюсированием занимался лидер коллектива Джо Дюплантье.
