Об альбоме

Lights and Sounds наиболее длительно-ожидаемый альбом группы, так как предыдущий альбом, Ocean Avenue был выпущен в 2003 году. Первоначально альбом должен был выйти в конце 2005 года, в итоге он был выпущен 24 января 2006 года. В Limited Edition версии альбома входил бонусный DVD с документацией, клип на песню Lights And Sounds, а также некоторые песни в «живом» исполнении.

Главный сингл, «Lights And Sounds», достиг 4 позиции в американском «Modern Rock Charts». Capitol Records продолжала делать попытки к увеличению продажи альбома выпуском нового сингла; но песня «Rough Landing, Holly» не смогла войти в «Top 20».

Песня «Rough Landing, Holly» стала саундтреком к игре FlatOut 2.

Также песня «Lights and Sounds» стала саундтреком к игре Burnout Revenge и Burnout Legends.

Lights and Sounds is the fifth studio album by American rock band Yellowcard, released on January 24, 2006, in the United States through Capitol Records. Lights and Sounds is Yellowcard's first concept album, which was inspired to reflect what the band was feeling at the time of production and how they have matured in the process. Lights and Sounds also departs from the sounds on Yellowcard's previous album, Ocean Avenue (2003), which broke away from its pop punk sound to a more alternative rock album.

Lights and Sounds —en español: Luces y sonidos— es el quinto álbum de estudio de la banda norteamericana de pop punk Yellowcard, lanzado el 24 de enero de 2006. Los sencillos de este álbum son «Lights and Sounds» y «Rough Landing, Holly», ambos con sus respectivos videos musicales. También fue puesto «Down on My Head» en algunas radios, pero no contiene video. En la caja del disco se encuentra la letra de una canción llamada «Three Flights Down», tema acústico que no va incluido en el disco, sino que solo está disponible en iTunes. En este trabajo la banda tomó un tono más «roquero», en comparación con álbumes anteriores, ya que el violín pierde protagonismo y solo se destaca en ciertas canciones, es por ello que este disco es más cercano al rock alternativo que al pop punk.
