KANA-BOON (カナブーン) es una banda japonesa de rock alternativo originaria de la ciudad Osaka, sus inicios comenzaron en el año 2006 mientras se encontraban cursando la preparatoria.

Historia

Integrada por Maguro Taniguchi (voz y guitarra eléctrica), Hayato Koga, (guitarra eléctrica), y Takahiro Koizumi, (batería) y Yuuma Meshida (bajo eléctrico). Su popularidad es debido a que ganaron gran notoriedad por las únicas melodías que aportaban junto a la letra de su líder, Taniguchi. Pero, antes de eso, comenzaron a tocar en espectáculos en vivo en varias calles y avenidas de la ciudad hasta que, en 2011, participaron para entrar a la convocatoria que había realizado el eo Music Try, donde, ganaron el "eo Special Award".

Más tarde, para 2013, entrarían y ganarían frente a más de 4,000 competidores en la audición por el evento del 20° Aniversario de los Ki/oon Records. Desde ese entonces, KANA-BOON tiene un contrato discográfico con la compañía del cual han grabado y lanzado un EP, cuatro álbumes de estudio y doce maxi sencillos.

Hasta eso que, más para su fama, realizaron el tema "Silhouette" (シルエット) que fue utilizado como el 16° "opening" del anime de Shōnen Jump, Naruto Shippūden.[1] También, el grupo ha servido como telonero para los conciertos de ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION.

Más aún, la banda tuvo su segunda colaboración con el anime de Naruto, esta vez en la película de Boruto -Naruto the Movie-, la cual lleva por tema principal su sencillo, "Diver" (ダイバー).[2]

Kana-Boon (stylized as KANA-BOON) are a Japanese rock band formed in 2008.[4] They made their major debut with Ki/oon Music in 2013. Ever since, they've had four albums reach the top ten on the weekly Oricon Albums Chart, with Doppel being their best-charting album, reaching the third place on the chart.[5] They have also had five singles reach the top ten on the weekly Oricon Singles Chart, with "Full Drive" (フルドライブ) being their best-charting single, reaching the sixth place on the chart.[6] Three of their singles have been used in the Naruto franchise, with "Silhouette" being used as the 16th Naruto Shippuden opening theme, and "Diver" as the theme song for Boruto: Naruto the Movie and Baton Road as the first season opening for Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.[7][8] The B-side for "Diver", "Spiral", was the theme song for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 video game.[8] This group also made a single for the anime The Perfect Insider titled "Talking".[9] Their single "Fighter" was chosen to be the fourth opening of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans.[10] Shortly after that, their new single titled "Baton Road" was chosen to be the first opening of the Naruto sequel, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.[8][11] Recently, their song "Starmarker" was used as the second opening of the fourth season of My Hero Academia, while their song "Torch of Liberty" was used as the second opening of the second season of Fire Force.
