Erra est un groupe américain de metal progressif et de metalcore, originaire de Birmingham en Alabama, formé en 2009[1]. Il est nommé d'après Erra, divinité mésopotamienne de la guerre et de la violence[2].

Historique


Courant mars 2020, le groupe a annoncé qu'il avait terminé l'enregistrement d'un nouvel album, qui succédera à Neon (2018). Les sessions d’enregistrement ont eu lieu sous la direction de l’équipe de production de Carson Slovak et Grant McFarland, connus pour leurs travaux avec August Burns Red et Rivers of Nihil[3].

Erra ist eine 2009 gegründete Band aus Birmingham, Alabama. Stilistisch bewegt sich die Band im Metalcore, mit Elementen aus dem Progressive Metal und Djent. Dieser Stil wird auch Progressive Metalcore genannt. Ihr Namensursprung ist die Gottheit Erra. Als Einflüsse nennt die Band unter anderem Misery Signals, Born of Osiris, As I Lay Dying und Saosin.[2] Zurzeit stehen sie beim Label UNFD unter Vertrag.

The band has released five studio albums and three EPs to date. Their latest album, titled Erra, was released on March 19, 2021.[4] They have toured with bands such as As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red, TesseracT, Born of Osiris, Ice Nine Kills, Glass Cloud, Within the Ruins and Texas in July.[5][6][7][8][9][10]
