Mortal Love est un groupe de metal gothique norvégien, originaire d'Elverum. Il a été formé en 2000 et mis en suspens en 2011.

Biographie

Mortal Love est formé au début de 2000[1]^,[2]. En décembre 2002, deux ans après leur formation, ils publient leur premier album studio, All the Beauty..., au label Massacre Records[1]. À partir de cette sortie, le groupe lance la trilogie d'une histoire d'amour tragique basée sur des faits réels[2].

En 2005, ils continuent leur histoire avec la sortie de leur deuxième album studio, I Have Lost...[2]. En 2006, ils publient leur troisième et dernier album en date, Forever Will Be Gone[3]. Leurs trois albums sont enregistrés au Space Valley Studio avec le producteur Zet[2]. En août 2008, le groupe rapporte sur son MySpace l'écriture de nouvelles chansons[4].

Le 21 novembre 2010, le groupe annonce sur Tumblr 50 chansons terminées, mais seulement dix seront incluses sur leur prochain album. Cependant, ils expliquent que les chansons sont « moins agressive » et, de ce fait, leur label Massacre Records a refusé de financer leur album. Le 8 juillet 2011, Mortal Love annonce une pause à durée indéterminée à cause de problèmes personnels[5]. Les membres se sépareront d'un commun accord. Avant la fin de leur contrat avec Massacre Records, ce dernier publie un best-of, intitulé Best of the Trilogy... All the Beauty I Have Lost Forever Will Be Gone, en novembre la même année.

Mortal Love ist eine norwegische Symphonic-Metal-Band, die zurzeit bei Massacre Records unter Vertrag steht. Ihre Musik kombiniert Sopran- und Tenorstimmen, während der Schwerpunkt auf einem beständigen Rhythmus liegt – zum Beispiel durch Klavier- und Synthesizermelodien und ein (verglichen mit anderen Genre-typischen Stücken) eher langsames Tempo. Das vorherrschende Thema in ihren Texten ist die melancholische Liebe. Ihre ersten drei Alben, die als Trilogie geplant und veröffentlicht wurden, handeln von einer tragischen Liebesgeschichte, die auf tatsächlichen Ereignissen basiert. Die Titel der drei Alben können als Satz kombiniert werden. (All the Beauty... I Have Lost und Forever Will Be Gone, in deutsch: All die Schönheit, die ich verloren habe, wird für immer verloren sein.)

Mortal Love was a Norwegian metal band from the city of Elverum, formed in 2000. Their sound made combined use of soprano and tenor vocals, whilst placing emphasis on a consistent rhythm section with heavy guitars, piano and synthesizer melodies. Their three released albums, which lyrically dealt with love and failed relationships, were composed as a trilogy, as can be observed by combining their titles — All the Beauty, I Have Lost, Forever Will Be Gone. The band released the final album of the trilogy on 22 September 2006.

Mortal Love — норвежская метал группа, основанная в городе Эльверум в 2000 году. Звучание объединяет использование сопрано и тенор вокалов, акцент на постоянной ритм-секции с тяжелыми гитарами, мелодиями пианино и синтезатора. Из трех изданных альбомов, которые лирически касались любви и неудачных отношений, изданных в качестве трилогии, можно наблюдать связь, если объединить их названия — «All the Beauty…» «I Have Lost…», «Forever Will Be Gone» — Все прекрасное, потерянное мной, исчезнет навсегда. Последний альбом трилогии группа выпустила 22 сентября 2006 года.
