Historique
Les frères et sœur Perry ont commencé à chanter dès leur enfance qu'ils passèrent à Greeneville, Tennessee[1]. Kimberly Perry commence à chanter réellement dans son propre groupe à l'adolescence, suivie par ses frères Neil et Reid qui travaillent comme machinistes itinérants[2]. Ils ont ensuite commencé à se produire en première partie pour leur propre sœur. En 2005, ils formèrent le groupe, intégrant la tournée New Faces of Country[1],[2].
En 2008, The Band Perry est découvert par Bob Doyle, le manager de Garth Brooks, qui les aide à faire des enregistrements. Ces enregistrements ont ensuite été envoyés à Scott Borchetta, responsable du nouveau label Republic Nashville. Le groupe signe chez Nashville République en et publie son premier single "Hip to My Heart" le même mois[3]. La chanson a atteint la vingtième place dans les charts country et fut suivie en avril d'un extended play[4].
Le groupe a sorti son deuxième single, If I Die Young, une chanson écrite par Kimberly Perry, et qui s'est également classée dans le Top 40 des chansons country du pays. If I Die Young et Hip to My Heart sont inclus sur l'album The Band Perry, sorti le . L'album a été produit par Paul Worley et Nathan Chapman[1],[3].
Ils ont également collaboré avec Justin Bieber sur le titre Home This Christmas en 2011.

The Band Perry are an American band composed of siblings Kimberly Perry (lead vocals, guitar), Reid Perry (bass guitar, background vocals), and Neil Perry (mandolin, bouzouki, background vocals). They signed to Republic Nashville in August 2009 and released their self-titled debut album on October 12, 2010. From this album, "If I Die Young" reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs and Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks charts and has been certified 6x multi-platinum.[3][4] Their second album, Pioneer, was released April 2, 2013. It produced additional number one singles in "Better Dig Two" and "Done", plus the top 10 hits "Don't Let Me Be Lonely" and "Chainsaw".
