Storia e origine del nome

Gli Amduscia sono stati fondati nel 1999 a Città del Messico da Polo, Edgar, Raul. Nel marzo 2010 la band perde un componente, Edgar Acevedo, morto per complicazioni fisiche dovute alla leucemia.[1]

Il nome della band deriva dalla demonologia medievale, secondo la quale il nome "Amduscia" apparteneva ad un demone musicista che suonava durante i suoi concerti senza l'ausilio di strumenti.

Stile e influenze

La loro musica è stata descritta come "aggrotech" e tra le sue influenze, il gruppo cita il dark ethereal, la darkwave, il cyberpunk, l'EBM, il synth pop e il futurepop.[2]

Agli inizi della loro carriera sono stati paragonati ai gruppi compatrioti Hocico e Cenobita, ma con il passare degli anni hanno raggiunto un loro stile tutto personale.[3]

Amduscia ist eine mexikanische Band aus dem Bereich der elektronischen Musik. Sie wurde 1999 in Mexiko-Stadt von Polo Amduscia, Edgar Acevedo und Raul Amduscia gegründet. Der Name ist von „Amdukias“ abgeleitet, einem Begriff der mittelalterlichen Dämonologie. Am 25. März 2010 verstarb der Mastermind Edgar Acevedo an Leukämie. Der Sänger Polo führt nun die Band weiter.
