Storia
L'album di debutto eponimo dei Baby Animals è stato pubblicato a settembre 1991 ed ha raggiunto la vetta della classifica australiana, paese nel quale è stato certificato quattro volte disco di platino ed è risultato il secondo album più venduto dell'anno.[1][2] È inoltre entrato nelle classifiche neozelandese, britannica e svedese.[3][4] Nello stesso periodo hanno vinto tre ARIA Music Awards e si sono esibiti in tournée con artisti come Bryan Adams, Black Crowes, Van Halen e Robert Plant.[5][6][7] Il secondo disco del gruppo, Shaved and Dangerous, è uscito nel 1993 ed è arrivato alla 2ª posizione in madrepatria, ricevendo il disco d'oro.[1] All'inizio del 1996 si sono sciolti, per poi riunirsi nel 2007: da allora hanno realizzato gli album Il Grande Silenzio e This Is Not the End, che si sono fermati rispettivamente alla numero 78 e 19 della ARIA Albums Chart.[1][8]

Baby Animals is an Australian hard rock band active from October 1989 to 1996 and reformed in 2007. The original line-up was Frank Celenza on drums; Suze DeMarchi on lead vocals and guitar; Dave Leslie on guitar and backing vocals; and Eddie Parise on bass guitar and backing vocals. They recorded two studio albums, Baby Animals (September 1991) – which peaked at No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, and Shaved and Dangerous (August 1993) – which reached No. 2. At the ARIA Music Awards of 1992 the group won three trophies: Album of the Year and Breakthrough Artist – Album for Baby Animals and Breakthrough - Single for "Early Warning". Baby Animals was listed in 100 Best Australian Albums (October 2010). The reunited line-up are DeMarchi, Leslie, Dario Bortolin on bass guitar and Mick Skelton on drums and percussion.
