Il gruppo è nato come joint venture tra la Pledis Entertainment e la Fantagio Music e consiste di sei membri. Il progetto nasce nel 2012 (anno di debutto del gruppo con Venus) e termina nel 2014, con la fine decretata dalle due agenzie e il ritorno di Yoo Ara e Shin Yoon-jo presso la Pledis. Il gruppo continua comunque l'attività aggiungendo Seo-young e Yeoreum ai quattro membri rimasti. Il gruppo si scioglie definitivamente nel 2019.

Hello Venus (koreanisch 헬로비너스; stilisierte Schreibweise HELLOVENUS) war eine südkoreanische Girlgroup, die 2012 von Tricell Media, einem Joint Venture der beiden Agenturen Fantagio und Pledis Entertainment, gegründet wurde. Hello Venus (Korean: 헬로비너스; often stylized as HELLOVENUS) was a South Korean girl group formed by Tricell Media (formerly a joint venture between Pledis Entertainment and Fantagio). The group originally consisted of: Alice, Nara, Lime, Yooara, Yoonjo and Yooyoung. They debuted with the lead single "Venus" from their debut extended play of the same name on 9 May 2012. In July 2014, Fantagio and Pledis ended their Tricell Media joint ventures. Yooara and Yoonjo remained under Pledis, with the other four members continuing their group activities under Fantagio.[1][2] In October 2014, Fantagio introduced two new members: Seoyoung and Yeoreum. The group officially disbanded in 2019, after their all members contract expired. The group is most notable for songs such as: "Sticky Sticky", "Wiggle Wiggle" and "I'm Ill".[es] Hello Venus
