Storia

La band nasce nel 1996 e viene battezzata subito Sex Machineguns in quanto il nome cita palesemente i Sex Pistols ma:

Nel 1998 la band debutta con un singolo per la EMI seguito poco dopo dal disco d'esordio vero e proprio. Il gruppo ottiene buoni riscontri in patria e inizia a far parlare di sé anche all'estero, tanto che inizieranno a pubblicare dischi e singoli con una frequenza piuttosto elevata per una decina d'anni circa.

Nel 2006 il gruppo decide di prendersi una "pausa di riflessione" e tutti i membri al di fuori del leader Anchang convergono in un nuovo gruppo dal nome Elleguns che inizia a incidere per conto proprio. Anchang, nel frattempo, riforma il gruppo e rilascia nel 2007 tre nuove canzoni disponibili unicamente via internet.

Sex Machineguns ist eine japanische Speed-Metal-Band. Stilistisch zeichnen sich die Sex Machineguns durch eine Mischung aus Speed und Power Metal aus. Genretypisch sind schnelle Gitarrensoli und basslastige Riffs. Der Name leitet sich von den Sex Pistols ab: „[we] machineguns are more radical than [the] pistols“.[1]

Sex Machineguns (stylized as SEX MACHINEGUNS) is a Japanese heavy metal band formed in 1989. Their music is characterized by a heavy focus on bass as well as extremely fast guitar and bass solos. The band uses the image of "shock rockers" by wearing crazy, exotic outfits like visual kei bands, although this image has been toned down, especially since 2003 when the long-term bassist Noisy left the band. The lyrics feature very off-beat and non-serious themes (the superior quality of Satsuma fruits in Ehime prefecture, minor annoyance in family restaurants, etc.). In addition to their image and attitude, they also exhibit technical skill on their instruments.

Sex Machineguns (Сексуальные пулемёты) — японская спид-метал-группа, наряду с X Japan и Seikima II являются одними из ключевых метал-групп Японии и главными популяризаторами японской метал-сцены. Основной период творчества группа являлась одним из коллективов Visual kei и даже давали интервью для французской программы об этой японской субкультуре, но с момента восстановления деятельности участники больше отдают предпочтение типичным для исполнителей метала одежде, изредка добавляя элементы старого образа.
