Storia
Nel 1990 Setzer organizza il gruppo musicale come un'orchestra, comprendente anche la sezione di fiati con tromba, trombone e sassofono, oltre alla sezione ritmica, al pianoforte e alla voce e chitarra dello stesso Setzer. Tra il 1994 ed il 1996 il gruppo incide e pubblica due album. Nel 2009, con Songs from Lonely Avenue, esce il primo disco contenente solo canzoni originali, scritte da Setzer e arrangiate da Frank Comstock.

The Brian Setzer Orchestra (sometimes known by its initials BSO) is a swing and jump blues band formed in 1990 by Stray Cats frontman Brian Setzer. In 1998, for their breakout album The Dirty Boogie, the group covered Louis Prima's "Jump, Jive an' Wail", which originally appeared on Prima's 1957 album The Wildest!. The BSO's follow up single, appearing on the album Vavoom!, was "Gettin' in the Mood."[es] The Brian Setzer Orchestra
The Brian Setzer Orchestra es una orquesta de swing, rockabilly, psychobilly y otros subgéneros musicales formada en 1990 por Brian Setzer, cantante y guitarrista virtuoso de la popular banda rockabilly Stray Cats. Es una de las bandas más destacadas del estilo conocido como Swing Revival o Neoswing, basado en rescatar el sonido swing de los años 40 y 50 del siglo XX fusionado con otros estilos más modernos. Se distingue de otras bandas del género (normalmente compuestas por guitarra, contrabajo, batería, trompeta, saxo y trombón) por su gran cantidad de instrumentos de viento, contando con cuatro trompetas, cuatro trombones y cinco saxofones. De esta manera logra un gran vigor en los ¨ataques¨ y melodías. La orquesta saltó a la fama con su sencillo ¨Jump Jive An' Wail¨ una canción de Louis Prima y es una de las pocas bandas de Neoswing que ha sobrevivido a los 90 manteniendo su éxito.
