As a boy he played the guitar and when he moved to Los Angeles, he continued his studies with Miguel S. Arrevalo. Later he moved to San Jose, California to perform and teach and while there began to published numerous works. Subsequently he moved to Boston and continued his teaching practice while establishing his performance career which led to publishing many of his original and arranged works with Jean White Publishing Co. of Boston.[1]

Luis Toribio Romero (1854, San Luis Obispo, California - 19 de noviembre de 1893, Boston). Sus padres eran procedentes de España. Desde niño tocó la guitarra y cuando se mudó a Los Ángeles, California, continuó con sus estudios con Miguel S. Arrevalo. Después de mudó a San José para dar recitales, enseñar y mientras tanto comenzar a publicar sus numerosas obras. Posteriormente se mudó a Boston continuando su carrera docente mientras se *establecía en la carrera de ejecutante lo que lo llevó a publicar muchas de sus obras originales y arreglos con la compañía Jean White Publishing Co. de Boston.[1]
