John Stax (né le 6 avril 1944 à Crayford) est un musicien anglais.

Biographie

Il est le premier bassiste des Pretty Things, de 1963 à 1967.

Stax apparaît sur les deux premiers albums du groupe, The Pretty Things et Get the Picture?. Il part vivre en Australie pendant les sessions d'enregistrement du troisième album, Emotions. Wally Waller le remplace.
