Woods was born in the village of Bures, England. She started playing music from a young age, learning the guitar from the age of 10. She was diagnosed with Irlen syndrome as a child, after struggling at school with reading. Woods learned to play piano and guitar by ear, and began to write songs. Woods sent some of her music to producer Will Hicks, who took an interest in her work.[1]
In 2019, after signing with AWAL Records, Woods released her debut record, an EP named Purple.[3] This was followed by two further EPs: "Red" (2020)[4] and "No Romeo" (2022).[5] In mid 2022, Woods toured with Ed Sheeran, opening for him at venues including Wembley Stadium.[6][1] She also played at Latitude Festival.[1]
She signed with Island Records in 2022 and subsequently released her debut-mixtape album The Greatest Thing I'll Never Learn on October 28, 2022. After releasing her debut mixtape-album DYLAN will be going on a worldwide tour starting November 4, 2022. She was named as Deezer's 'focus artist' shortly after.[7]
