Biografia


Alsina è nato a New Orleans, in Louisiana.[3] Ha frequentato le scuole media a New Orleans.[4] Sebbene nessuno nella sua famiglia facesse parte del mondo della musica, decide di iniziare a cantare dopo aver visto Lauryn Hill nel film Sister Act 2 . Ha cominciato caricando video su YouTube nel 2007, all'età di 14 anni.[5]

Sia il padre che il patrigno hanno combattuto contro la dipendenza da crack. Alsina ha lavorato al suo terzo album in studio dal 2017. Il 6 gennaio 2017, Alsina ha pubblicato i singoli Drugs, a cui hanno fatto seguito Lonely e Don't Matter. L'album, The Product III: State of Emergency è stato infine pubblicato il 26 giugno 2020. August Anthony Alsina Jr.[2] (born September 3, 1992) is an American singer from New Orleans, Louisiana, formerly signed to Def Jam Recordings.[3][4] He released his first mixtape The Product in 2012, followed by The Product 2 and his debut extended play (EP) Downtown: Life Under the Gun in 2013, the latter released under The-Dream's Radio Killa Records and Def Jam Recordings. Alsina then his debut studio album Testimony in 2014, after garnering success from the Platinum-selling singles "I Luv This Shit" (featuring Trinidad James) and "No Love" (featuring Nicki Minaj).[5] The album was followed up by This Thing Called Life in 2015. After leaving Def Jam and a long hiatus, he released the EP Forever and a Day in 2019.
