In March 2020, Cox released an EP of songs by The National that were re-imagined by him, titled Say Goodbye to Pretty Boy and released on Brassland.[6] Cox was named an Artist To Watch by Stereogum in September 2020 [7] and released his first album on October 2, 2020, Live Forever.[8] The album is a mix of hip hop, indie rock, and jazz music.[9][10] The album received universal acclaim from reviews.[11][12]
