Mertens was born in Wilrijk in Antwerp. She studied Art and after high school, she went to hairdresser school for two years. Her father is Flemish, and her mother Tunisian. In 2013 she appeared on VTM in Lang Leve... as herself, in an episode about Regi Penxten, a member of Milk Inc. In Lang Leve..., they made video's about the life of Regi, in an unserious way, and Linda's role was played by Karen Damen.

Linda Mertens, nacida el 20 de julio de 1978 en Wilrijk, Bélgica, fue la cantante femenina del grupo Milk Inc. Actualmente reside en Herentals, Bélgica. Respecto a su vida familiar, sus padres se divorciaron cuando ella tenía 3 años. Más tarde, su hermano murió en un accidente de coche. Ella estudió arte y después del instituto, se fue dos años a una escuela de peluquería. Ella realmente nunca quiso ser peluquera pero aceptó varios trabajos de peluquera.
