Matt "The Lord" Zane (born Matthew Zicari; October 7, 1974) is an American singer, musician, suspension artist, and author.[1]

Zane was born Matthew Zicari[2] in Rochester, New York. After graduating from Musicians Institute of Technology for Guitar Performance, he attended Los Angeles Valley College for music.
Zane was briefly the lead singer of short-lived industrial rock project Lotus Rising with cellist Tina Guo[3] and is currently the creative force behind Society 1.
Since 2008, Zane has held the record for longest body suspension, surpassing the previous holder Criss Angel.[4][5]
