Biografía

Milow debutó en el festival Humo's Rock Rally, en 2004, obteniendo el tercer lugar en la competición. En 2006, Milow produjo su primer álbum The Bigger Picture junto con Nigel Powell (del grupo británico Unbelievable Truth). En ese mismo año, ya sonaba a menudo su sencillo One of it en la radio Studio Brussel. Su siguiente sencillo You don't know alcanzó el número 3 en la lista belga de éxitos Ultratop 50[1] . El periódico flamenco De Standaard ofreció a Milow una columna en su edición en línea. Milow todavía escribe en su blog llamado off the record sobre sus canciones, conciertos y eventos de su vida. El 28 de junio de 2007, Milow actuó como concierto de apertura en el festival belga Rock Werchter. En septiembre de 2008 presentó su versión de Ayo Technology, sencillo original de 50 cent, Justin Timberlake y Timbaland alcanzando el número 1 en la lista belga Ultratop 50 y la holandesa Dutch Top 40.[2]

Milow estudió en California, EUA durante un año con el programa AFS Intercultural Programs.

Jonathan Ivo Gilles Vandenbroeck (Dutch: [ˈjoːnɑtɑn vɑndənˈbruk]; born 14 July 1981), known professionally as Milow, is a Belgian singer-songwriter. Milow released his debut album, The Bigger Picture, in 2006 on his own label Homerun Records. The fourth single from that album, "You Don't Know," became one of the biggest hit singles of the year in Belgium in 2007, and The Bigger Picture stayed on the Belgian album chart for 110 weeks.[1] However, it was not until his second self-released album Coming of Age in 2008 (in 2009 renamed and repackaged as Milow), that Milow achieved major commercial success all over mainland Europe. The album peaked at number three on the German Album Top 50 chart, at number four in the Swiss Album Top 100, and peaked in the top twenty of many European charts. The album reached platinum in Germany and Switzerland, it reached gold in France, the Netherlands, and Belgium, and it sold over 500,000 copies in mainland Europe and Canada.[2]
