Dion Francis DiMucci, né le 18 juillet 1939 à New York, plus connu sous le nom de Dion, est un chanteur américain de rock 'n' roll et de rhythm and blues.

Un des plus populaires chanteurs de rock américain avant la British Invasion, Dion a eu une douzaine de chansons dans le top 40 à la fin des années 1950 et au début des années 1960. Il a débuté comme chanteur du groupe Dion and the Belmonts, entre 1957 et 1960, avant de se lancer dans une carrière solo.

Ses succès les plus connus sont Runaround Sue (n^o 1), The Wanderer (n^o 2), tous deux en 1961, Ruby Baby (n^o 4) en 1963, Abraham, Martin and John (n^o 4) en 1968.

Dion Francis DiMucci (born July 18, 1939),[7] better known simply as Dion, is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist.[8] His music has incorporated elements of doo-wop, pop, rock, R&B, folk and blues.[9] Initially as the lead singer of Dion and the Belmonts, and then during his solo career, Dion was one of the most popular American rock and roll performers of the pre-British Invasion era.[1] He had 39 Top 40 hits in the late 1950s and early 1960s as a solo performer, or with the Belmonts and the Del-Satins.[10] He is best remembered for the singles "Runaround Sue", "The Wanderer", "Ruby Baby" and "Lovers Who Wander", among other hits.[11]
