Biografia


Cho Kyu-hyun nasce a Nowon, un piccolo distretto di Seul, in Corea del Sud. Ha una sorella maggiore di nome Cho Ara. Il padre lavora nel mondo dell'insegnamento ed è proprietario di una scuola. La madre, invece, gestisce un'accademia d'arte ed una locanda chiamata MOM House a Myeongdong. Inizialmente Cho Kyu-hyun pensa di iscriversi alla facoltà di giurisprudenza, ma dopo essere diventato membro di un gruppo musicale durante la scuola media, nutre una passione sempre più profonda per la musica. Il padre, seppur contrario all'idea, gli permette di inseguire il sogno di diventare un cantante. Si iscrive così all'Università di Kyunghee, dove studia musica postmoderna.

Cho Kyu-hyun debuttò ufficialmente nel gruppo dei Super Junior nel maggio 2006, l'ultimo membro ad unirsi alla boy band.

Nell'aprile 2008, Cho Kyu-hyun entrò a far parte della sotto-unità di sette membri Super Junior-M, gruppo di genere mandopop destinato al mercato cinese. Debuttarono con "U" l'8 aprile di quell'anno.

Cho Kyu-hyun (born February 3, 1988),[1] referred to as Kyuhyun, is a South Korean singer, musical theatre actor and television host. He debuted as a new member of boy group Super Junior (and later its sub-groups Super Junior-K.R.Y. and Super Junior-M as well as former member of SM Entertainment project group SM the Ballad) in May 2006. Apart from his group's activities, he has established himself as a musical actor, notably through his participation in the original and Korean versions of stage musicals including The Three Musketeers, Catch Me If You Can, Moon Embracing the Sun, Singin' in the Rain, The Days, Robin Hood, Werther, Mozart!, and The Man Who Laughs. He also cast in television show including Radio Star, We Got Married, Mamma Mia, Fluttering India and in the third, fourth, seventh, and eighth seasons of New Journey to the West. He debuted as a solo artist with his debut mini album, At Gwanghwamun, on November 13, 2014, making him the first Super Junior member to debut as a solo artist.
