Biografia


Cresciuto a Abeokuta,[2] ha iniziato a provare un interesse per la musica mentre frequentava l'Obafemi Awolowo University.[3]

Il suo album in studio d'esordio Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps, presentato nel 2019, contiene Jealous,[4] candidato per un Headies alla canzone dell'anno.[5] Una tournée a supporto del secondo LP Apollo, messo in commercio nel 2020,[6] è costituita da oltre dieci date svolte negli Stati Uniti d'America durante il mese di febbraio 2022.[7]

Nel 2021 ha fatto il suo debutto televisivo statunitense eseguendo un medley dei suoi brani al Tonight Show di Jimmy Fallon[8] e ha registrato il singolo Peru, che ha guadagnato una nomination per l'NAACP Image Award alla miglior canzone internazionale e una versione alternativa in collaborazione con Ed Sheeran,[9][1] la quale ha scalato l'Official Singles Chart fino al 2º posto ed è stata certificata platino dalla British Phonographic Industry.[10][11]

Adedamola Adefolahan (born 5 February 1996),[1] known professionally as Fireboy DML, is a Nigerian singer. He is signed to YBNL Nation, a record label founded by Nigerian rapper Olamide.[2] His debut studio album Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps was released in 2019.[2] He won Listener's Choice and was nominated for Song of the Year for "Jealous" at the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival.[1]
