Biografia

Janie Fricke ha avviato la sua carriera musicale come corista di cantanti country. Ha raggiunto il successo nazionale negli anni 80, durante i quali ha accumulato otto numero uno, diciassette top ten e trentasei ingressi nella Hot Country Songs.[1] Nel 1982 e nel 1983 ha vinto due CMA Awards come miglior cantante femminile, mentre nell'aprile 1984 il suo album Black & White ha raggiunto la vetta della classifica statunitense dedicata ai dischi country.[2][3] Ha inoltre ricevuto quattro candidature ai Grammy Awards tra il 1978 e il 1985.[4]

Jane Marie Fricke (/ˈfrɪki/ FRIK-ee; born December 19, 1947[1][2]), known professionally as Janie Fricke,[lower-alpha 1] is an American country music singer, songwriter, record producer, and clothing designer. She has placed seventeen singles in the top ten of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Eight of these songs reached the number one spot.[4] She has also won accolades from the Academy of Country Music, Country Music Association and has been nominated four times from the Grammy Awards.
