Origini

È nata a Bradford, nel West Yorkshire, dai genitori Diane e John Walsh, ed è cresciuta insieme alla sorella maggiore Sally e ai più piccoli Adam e Amy nella periferia di Allerton.

Carriera

Debutta nel 2000 interpretando il ruolo di Gillian Oldfield nella serie televisiva britannica This Is Personal: The Hunt for the Yorkshire Ripper e partecipa, nello stesso anno, al programma educativo prodotto per BBC Focus. La sua carriera musicale però parte nel 2002, quando partecipa e vince il reality show "Popstars" andando a formare, con altre quattro vincitrici, il gruppo noto come Girls Aloud, che riscuoterà molto successo negli anni successivi in particolar modo nel paese d'origine. Parallelamente alla partecipazione al gruppo pop, nel 2008 recita nel film Britannia High insieme a Nicola Roberts, sua compagna nelle Girls Aloud.

Kimberley Jane Scott[1] (née Walsh; born 20 November 1981)[2] is an English singer, model, variety performer, television presenter, actress and dancer. She rose to fame in late 2002 when she auditioned for the reality series Popstars: The Rivals on ITV. The series announced that Walsh had won a place as a member of the girl group Girls Aloud.[3] The group achieved large success, having twenty consecutive top ten singles (including four number ones) in the UK, six studio albums have all been certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), two of which went to number one in the UK, and accumulating a total of five BRIT Award nominations. In 2009, Girls Aloud won "Best Single" with their song "The Promise".
