Biografia

Nata a Oakland,[2] è salita alla ribalta grazie al singolo Falling for U, una collaborazione incisa nel 2017 con Peachy!,[3] che per aver venduto oltre 500 000 unità a livello nazionale ha ricevuto la certificazione d'oro dalla Recording Industry Association of America.[4]

Il suo primo album in studio The Masquerade, pubblicato il 17 settembre 2019,[5] è stato promosso da una tournée tra America del Nord e Europa che ha tenuto l'artista occupata fino a dicembre 2019.[6] L'estratto Prom Dress è stato certificato oro dalla RIAA.[4]

L'anno seguente è stata presentata la raccolta Dawn & Dusk, costituita dalle tracce degli EP Dawn e Dusk.[1] Con il fine di promuovere il progetto l'artista ha annunciato un tour estivo in Nord America da svolgersi nel 2020.[7]

Nel 2021 si è esibita al Lollapalooza e ha conseguito una nomination a un Hollywood Music in Media Award per mezzo di In the Darkness.[8][9]

Her music is characterized by emotionally transparent, confessional lyrics, and often employs the ukulele. She released her first EP, Plum Blossom, in 2018; her debut album, The Masquerade, was released in September 2019. This was followed by the twin EPs Dawn and Dusk in 2020, and second studio album Rising, which was released on May 20, 2022.
