Biografia

Nata ad Auckland (Nuova Zelanda), è cresciuta a Gold Coast, nel Queensland australiano. Ha iniziato ad esibirsi all'età di 15 anni ed ha partecipato alla seconda stagione di Australian Idol (2004), classificandosi al settimo posto finale. Successivamente ha firmato un contratto per l'etichetta discografica indipendente Shock Records e ha pubblicato il suo eponimo album d'esordio Ricki-Lee nel 2005. Il disco contiene i singoli Hell No! e Sunshine. L'anno seguente è diventata membro del girl group pop Young Divas, che ha lasciato nel 2007 per dedicarsi all'attività solista.

Il suo secondo album Brand New Day è uscito nel 2007 ed è stato certificato disco d'oro. Esso include i singoli di successo Love Is All Around e Can't Touch It. La sua prima compilation è uscita nel 2008 col titolo The Singles. Ricki-Lee Dawn Coulter (born 10 November 1985), also known mononymously as Ricki-Lee, is a New Zealand-born Australian singer, songwriter, television, and radio presenter. She was born in Auckland, New Zealand, grew up on the Gold Coast, Queensland and began performing at the age of 15. Coulter rose to fame in 2004 on the second season of Australian Idol and placed seventh in the competition. She subsequently signed with Australian independent label Shock Records, and released her self-titled debut album Ricki-Lee (2005), which produced the top-ten hits "Hell No!" and "Sunshine". Both singles were certified gold by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA). The following year, Coulter became a member of Australian pop girl group Young Divas, before leaving in early 2007 to resume her solo career.
