Biografia

Wendy Moten si è fatta notare per la prima volta per aver cantato con Michael Bolton durante un concerto di beneficenza;[1] dopo aver firmato con la EMI Records, ha pubblicato il suo album di esordio eponimo nel 1992, il quale è entrato alla 42ª posizione della Official Albums Chart.[2] È stato promosso dal singolo Come in Out of the Rain, che ha raggiunto l'8ª posizione nel Regno Unito[2] e la 55ª negli Stati Uniti.[3] Anche il singolo successivo, So Close to Love, è entrato nella top forty britannica alla numero 35.[2]

Nel 1994 incide il singolo "Whatever you imagine", colonna sonora del film Pagemaster - L'avventura meravigliosa.

Successivamente è partita in tournée come corista di artisti come Brooks & Dunn, Buddy Guy, Vince Gill, Billy Idol, Martina McBride, Michael McDonald, Tim McGraw e Faith Hill.[4]

Wendy Moten (born November 22, 1964) is an American jazz singer from Tennessee born in Memphis and based in Nashville.[1] Moten has had a successful career in music, including several major-label solo records, some international hit songs, and a second career as a touring musician. At age 56, she entered an American national talent competition on NBC's The Voice where she finished as the runner-up.[1] Moten is best known for the single "Come In Out of the Rain", which was a No. 8 hit in the UK in February 1994.[2]
