Comeblack ist ein Studioalbum der deutschen Rockband Scorpions aus dem Jahr 2011, das neben Neuaufnahmen von Bandklassikern wie Rock You Like a Hurricane oder Wind of Change auch einige Coversongs enthält.

Entstehung

Im März 2010 veröffentlichten die Scorpions ihr vermeintlich letztes Studioalbum Sting in the Tail und gaben ihre Auflösung nach Beendigung ihrer Get Your Sting and Blackout Worldtour bekannt. Aufgrund des weltweiten großen Erfolges ihrer letzten Platte und der Abschiedstournee beschloss die Band, anstatt ein normales Best-of-Album zu veröffentlichen, noch einmal ins Studio zu gehen und die beliebtesten Songs der Band sowie einige Coverversionen von Songs im modernen Gewand einzuspielen, die die Band in ihren Anfängen gespielt und beeinflusst haben. Produziert wurde das Album von Mikael Nord Andersson und Martin Hansen.

Comeblack is a compilation of songs recorded by German hard rock band Scorpions; and is intended as a comeback album, following their farewell tour. Released after the successful 2010's Sting in the Tail, half of the album features re-recorded versions of their own classic songs and the other half cover versions of 1960s and early 1970s popular rock songs.[6] It was announced on 3 October 2011, with a planned global release date of 4 November[6] and a US release on 24 January 2012.[7] Comeblack was also released for streaming online by AOL Music on 23 January 2012.[8] The album was released by Sony Music Entertainment and available in both CD and vinyl formats.[9]
