Hintergrund und Trivia

• Der Veröffentlichung des Albums ging ein für diese Band ungewöhnlicher Internet-Hype und eine völlige Neugestaltung der Homepage voraus.
• Interpol nahm sich vor den Aufnahmen eine Auszeit. Später wurde in einem Interview das Gerücht in die Welt gesetzt, die Band habe sich in dieser Zeit (etwa drei Jahre) mehrmals getrennt und wiedervereint.
• Für die Videos zu The Heinrich Maneuver, Mammoth und No I in Threesome zeichneten sich (in der Folge des Aufzählens) E. Elias Merhige, das London Astoria (Live-Aufnahme) und Patrick Daughters verantwortlich.[1] Es waren bislang die ersten Kollaborationen zwischen ihnen und Interpol.

Versionen

• Neben der Normal-Version von Our Love to Admire ist eine sog. Deluxe Edition erhältlich. Sie umfasst ein Digipak für den Heim-PC und ein Poster. Zudem ist ihr Cover gänzlich schwarz.
• Es existiert eine Orchester-Version von Pioneer to the Falls und zahlreiche Dance-Mix-Versionen zu den jeweiligen Singles (siehe oben).

Our Love to Admire is the third studio album by American rock band Interpol, released on July 10, 2007, through Capitol Records and Parlophone. Recorded at Electric Lady Studios in Greenwich Village and The Magic Shop in New York City,[1] the album is the group's first to be released on a major label as they departed from Matador Records beforehand. On April 25, 2007, the band officially announced the album title as Our Love to Admire as well as the track listing.[2] The first single off the new album, "The Heinrich Maneuver", was released on May 7, 2007.[3]

Our Love to Admire es el tercer álbum de la banda neoyorquina de post punk revival Interpol, lanzado el 10 de julio de 2007 bajo Capitol Records. Fue grabado en Electric Lady Studios en Greenwich Village y en The Magic Shop Studios en Nueva York.[1] Es el primer álbum de la banda en ser lanzado con una disquera mayor, pues sus anteriores dos álbumes fueron lanzados en la disquera independiente Matador Records.
