3er arco (3rd arch) is the third album by Argentine rock band Los Piojos. Recorded and mixed between June and July in 1996 at Del Cielito Records. It was officially presented at the Arpegios Theatre. Two concerts at the Estadio Obras in September, two concerts at the Microestadio de Ferro in November and three more concerts at the Estadio Obras in December.

Reception

The Allmusic review by Stephen Thomas Erlewine awarded the album 4 stars stating "3er Arco finds the Argentinean band Los Piojos -- composed of Daniel "Piti" Fernandez, Daniel Buira, Miguel Angel "Micky" Rodriguez, Gustavo Kupinski and Andres Ciro Martinez—at the peak of their form, turning out an imaginative fusion of Latin rhythms and hard rock. It's their finest moment to date and the best way to become acquainted with the band. ".[1]

3.er Arco (Tercer Arco) es el tercer álbum de estudio de la banda de rock argentina Los Piojos. Publicado bajo el sello discográfico DBN (Distribuidora Belgrano Norte). Grabado y mezclado entre junio y julio de 1996 en Del Cielito Records. Fue presentado oficialmente el 28 de septiembre de 1996 en el Estadio Obras Sanitarias. Fue disco de oro y doble disco de platino, ya en el año 1998 habían superado el triple platino y en la actualidad supera las 360 mil copias. Este tercer álbum de Los Piojos salió a la venta y rápidamente superó toda expectativa. Los temas «Verano del '92» y «El Farolito» se convirtieron en clásicos de la banda. Muchos alabaron a esta banda diciendo que hacían una gran mezcla como pocas en aquella época: "murganroll". Con estadios llenos y seguidores que se fueron sumando a los anteriores, este fue un disco que marcó a Los Piojos para siempre. Está incluido en "Los 100 mejores álbumes del rock Argentino" según la revista Rolling Stone.[cita requerida] El disco fue reeditado en el año 2007 por El Farolito Discos.
