"Fils de joie" tells the story of the child of a prostitute. The song includes a sample from teaser of Bridgerton from Netflix series. Melody combining baroque sounds and the ardor of Brazilian funk carioca.[1] A music video for "Fils de joie" directed by Henry Scholfield[2] was released by Stromae on 7 March 2022.[3] Stromae indeed puts himself in the shoes of a president of fictional country, giving a speech at a national funeral, surrounded by officers and wreaths, as a military parade and funeral procession unfolds.[1]
