Released in 1993 on cassette and only to members of the official Alphaville fan club, History is a collection of early Alphaville demo tracks, B-sides, and a few out-takes.[1]

Trivia

• Of all the tracks on this compilation, only "Jet Set" has later been re-released. The track appears on the Dreamscapes box set on CD #7, renamed as "Jet Set (Demo I)".
• "Leben Ohne Ende" is the song "Seeds" sung with its original German lyrics. The song title translates to "Live Without Ending", part of a line in the English lyrics.
