Li Yuchun became known abroad as Chris Lee; she launched the 2006 London Chinatown celebrations. Her 2008 album, the assertively titled Mine (Wo de), was recorded in New York studios using internationally renowned production and song-writing teams, and it was released on the label Taihe Rye, which was co-owned by a South Korean telecom company.
