Motor Booty Affair is the seventh album by funk band Parliament. Released on November 20, 1978. It contains two of the group's most popular tracks, "Rumpofsteelskin" and "Aqua Boogie (A Psychoalphadiscobetabioaquadoloop)" which went to number one on the Billboard Soul Singles chart.

Artist Overton Loyd prepared the cover of Motor Booty Affair. The main release consisted of a gate-fold album cover featuring a pop-up rendition of the city of Atlantis, with Loyd's artwork on the front and back covers. His illustrations included cartoon portraits of some of the "characters" mentioned in the songs on the album, including "Mr. Wiggles". It also included cardboard cutout figures featuring Loyd's cartoon illustrations of most of the characters mentioned in the songs. There was also a picture disk, with Loyd's illustration printed directly on the vinyl LP. The album was Parliament's fifth consecutive gold album (500,000 copies sold).

Motor-Booty Affair es el séptimo álbum de la banda de música Funk Parliament. Publicado el 11 de noviembre de 1978 en Casablanca Records. Contiene un gran éxito de Parliament, Aqua Boogie (A Psychoalphadiscobetabioaquadoloop) el segundo y último sencillo de Parliament en llegar al primer puesto en la Hot R&B/Soul Singles en marzo de 1979 5 meses después de la publicación del álbum. También contiene otros dos hits, menores pero que igualmente ganaron éxito: "Rumpofsteelskin" y "Deep" publicados como singles a mediados de 1979. Es considerado igual de bien que su álbum predecesor Funkentelechy, tuvo éxito y fue capaz de extender la Mitología P-Funk ahora en el mar. El título original, era más simple y no era "Motor-Booty Affair" sino "Music for the Deep" (español: Música para lo profundo) por ser en el mar, un título parecido. La cubierta es uno de los tantos iconos de P-Funk dibujada por Overton Loyd, el artista que ya hacía las cubiertas de los álbumes de P-Funk,[2] basada en el personaje de la Mitología P-Funk "Sir Nose D'Voidoffunk" siendo atacado por una extraña ave, posiblemente Prehistórica. El álbum viene con una cubierta plegable con la ciudad de Atlantis dibujada más retratos de los personajes. Todo dibujado por Overton Loyd.
