Bedingfield said her intention with the album was to "make music that moves people and makes them move their bodies and hair. It's bright and bold but in a way that is also raw and honest."[5] Linda Perry stated that she wanted to work with Bedingfield because she feels she is "one of the best live performers I have ever seen and has one of the most versatile voices I have ever heard".[5]
The album debuted at number 36 on the US Billboard Independent Albums chart.[6]
Adapted from the album's liner notes.[3][7] All tracks written by Linda Perry and Natasha Bedingfield, and produced by Perry, except where noted.

Roll With Me was entirely produced by Linda Perry, the singer-songwriter behind Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" and "Hurt", Gwen Stefani's "What You Waiting For?" and a host of modern pop classics. It isn't a singular record in terms of genre, pleasurably drifting between pop, R&B, and even, somewhat daringly, reggae.
