Veneer es el álbum debut del cantautor sueco José González, publicado el 29 de octubre de 2003 en Suecia, el 25 de abril de 2004 en el resto de Europa y el 6 de septiembre de 2005 en los Estados Unidos. Ha vendido unas 700.000 copias en todo el mundo y ha conseguido el disco de platino en el Reino Unido. Se extrajeron dos sencillos del álbum: "Heartbeats", una versión del grupo electrónico The Knife publicado en enero de 2006, y "Crosses", publicado en abril de 2006.
