Reception

The AllMusic review by Mariano Prunes awarded the album 4 stars, stating: "Overall in 5, Vicentico continues to do as he pleases at the risk of confusing his fan base – his latter-day mainstream Latin-American audience will not find much to dance to in this album, and the rock/ska/punk crowd to which he originally belonged is not going to welcome the prodigal son with open arms if he insists on covering acts such as ABBA, Roberto Carlos, and Xuxa all in the same album – but hey, so far it has worked wonders for his solo career, both in commercial and artistic terms".[1]

5 es el nombre del quinto álbum de estudio del cantante y compositor argentino Gabriel Fernández Capello, más conocido como Vicentico. Fue lanzado al mercado por Sony Music el día martes 25 de septiembre de 2012, y el mismo día alcanzó el disco de platino en Argentina. El álbum fue producido por Cachorro López y contiene nuevas composiciones de Vicentico, además de algunas versiones de canciones de otros artistas, como es el caso de "No te apartes de mí" de Roberto Carlos, "The winner takes it all" (Sólo hay un ganador) de ABBA y "Esto de quererte" de Xuxa. Este álbum cuenta con la participación de Valeria Bertuccelli, su pareja y esposa, en 2 canciones: las ya mencionadas "No te apartes de mí" y en "Esto de quererte". El primer sencillo del álbum fue "Creo que me enamoré", el cual ingresó al top 5 en la radio la primera semana, y luego convirtiéndose en #1 en Argentina.
