The album was released exclusively to Endel's mobile and smart TV application platform on 18 March 2022[3] before being further released on streaming services on 23 May. It is the first functional music album constructed using AI technology to be released by a label within the Universal Music Group.[1] In a press release, Blake said that the "Wind Down soundscape I created with Endel lets me explore the more ambient side of my music and create a project to support people in a new way", emphasising the project's goal of improving sleep.[3][4] The project's intent is similar to Blake's previous song "Lullaby for My Insomniac" from his 2019 album Assume Form.[1][5][6]
All tracks are written by Dmitrii Bezuglyi, Dmitry Evgrafov, James Blake Litherland, Kyrylo Bulatsev, Oleg Stavitskii, Philipp Petrenko, and Protey Temen.
