Dog Man Star es el segundo álbum de Suede. Fue lanzado por la discográfica Nude Records en 1994. Fue el último disco de la banda que contenía en su alineación a Bernard Butler, quien dejó la banda poco después de completar este álbum, dadas las crecientes tensiones entre Butler y el vocalista de la banda Brett Anderson.

Dog Man Star fue un disco de tono oscuro, lanzado en una coyuntura donde las bandas contemporáneas de Suede estaban haciendo discos pop. Esa razón, junto a la partida de Butler, son las posibles causas de la falta de éxito comercial de este disco. Sin embargo, el álbum es todavía reverenciado por la crítica y es considerado un favorito entre los fanes.

Dog Man Star is the second album by English alternative rock band Suede, released in October 1994 on Nude Records. The album was recorded in London at Master Rock studios in early 1994, and was produced by Ed Buller. It was the last Suede album to feature guitarist Bernard Butler; growing tensions between him and singer Brett Anderson ended with Butler leaving the band before recording was complete. As a result, some tracks on the album had to be finished with the assistance of session musicians.

Это последний альбом Suede, записанный при участии гитариста Бернарда Батлера, который из-за возрастающей напряжённости в отношениях с вокалистом Бреттом Андерсоном ушёл из группы ещё до завершения альбома. Это дало повод заговорить о возможном скором распаде Suede, поскольку Батлер являлся автором почти всей музыки группы. Однако альбом всё же вышел, группа уцелела, а на смену Батлеру был приглашён 17-летний Ричард Оукс.
