Se publicó como sencillo a mediados de 1969. En el álbum, "Ibiza Bar" es un reprise de esta canción y además en el sencillo es su cara B.

Andy Kellman de Allmusic ha descrito a "The Nile Song" como "una de las canciones más pesadas que la banda ha grabado".[1] Tanto la estructura musical como la performance vocal de David Gilmour está familiarizada con el hard rock. Esta canción pertenece al pequeño grupo de canciones de la banda que se alejan de su característico sonido orientado al Rock Progresivo y Psicodélico y se orientan al Hard Rock, las otras son Ibiza Bar de también el álbum More, The Gold It's in the..." de Obscured by Clouds, Young Lust de The Wall y en menor medida Not Now John de The Final Cut.

"The Nile Song", written by Roger Waters and sung by David Gilmour, is the second song from Pink Floyd's 1969 album, More, the soundtrack to the film of the same name.[2][3] It was released as a single in 1969 (only in France, Japan and New Zealand),[4] and included on the 1971 compilation album Relics. While the song was never performed live by Pink Floyd, the song was played by Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets in 2018.[5]
