Wingspan: Hits and History est une compilation de chansons des Wings et de Paul McCartney enregistrées entre 1969 et 1984. Parue en 2001, elle s'inscrit au sein d'un projet plus large qui comprend également un film documentaire sur l'histoire du groupe et de la relation entre McCartney et son épouse Linda.

L'album est divisé en deux disques. Le premier, Hits, contient les titres qui ont eu un grand succès dans les charts. Le second, History, présente pour sa part des titres moins connus pour lesquels l'artiste a une affection particulière.

L'album est bien reçu par la critique, et les ventes sont très bonnes : l'album se classe en cinquième place au Royaume-Uni (où il est disque d'or) et à la deuxième de l'autre côté de l'Atlantique (où il est double disque de platine).
